About us...

The Wildwood Reader is an occasional short fiction magazine. Our ultimate goal is that through each issue, we hope to obtain reader feedback on what they want to see as a collection in a case bound book yearly named the "Best of" edition. Each issue will feature stories written by new and emerging writersfrom around the states and eventually, the world, writing for our market.

If you know of someone who has great stories sitting on a desk or shelf, tell them about us and encourage them to send us their stories for inclusion. If you know an avid reader, tell them about us - better yet, send them a gift subscription. We hope to grow readership through our subscriber base and limited sponsorships of each magazine issue along with select end credits sponsorships in our books.

If you're a writer and are new to the publishing world, we want to help you make the most of your work. We want to encourage you to write and eventually make a living from your written words. Every writer I have ever met, known or have had the pleasure of speaking with, aspires to lofty levels of greatness and "Fitzgerald-ish" fortune, notoriety and fame. I'll be the first to say that I am all for aspirations and great goals, I had them as well. Please know and be aware that, our humble publication will only be a stepping stone to those goals.

Visit our writer's guidelines for specifics on submissions and be sure to follow them as closely as possible to avoid confusion and help us to help you promote your work - and of course make money to pay bills...

Print, Net or Pod

We are currently in flux as we learn from both our future readers and writers. In the recent months, we have heard from a number of writers that would like to have their works appear as podcasts. We have also learned that some don't care about printed versions either. Please write us to further our efforts in finding a home for future stories. Write us with your opinion
